Open a Western Digital Passport Portable 250GB


Western Digital 250GB Passport portable hard drive allows you to add a large amount of storage to almost any computer within minutes. Despite the high marks and very reliable in general, and the hard drive in case the passport system uses a rotating dish. Shut down the computer that you are connected to the Western Digital Passport drive. Unplug the USB cable from the external drive and the computer.

Insert a screwdriver in the slot firmly, but gently. Turn slowly half-turn of a screwdriver in a clockwise direction, or to the right. The interior of the casing separates slightly from the outer shell.

Turn the passport all over so that you view the other side of the drive. Insert a screwdriver tip in a small incision - again, next to the curved edge - turn a screwdriver and twist in a clockwise direction and a half.

Slide the inner part of the outer casing of the box.

Disconnect cable connector from the hard disk that leads to the circuit board. Remove the screws that guarantee the preservation of the drive to the inside of the box with the Phillips screwdriver.
Q 8
Replace the internal drive with a new one. Reassemble passport holders by reversing the steps used to disassemble it.
